Lamido, who did not herd to the All Progressives Congress party, spoke as former Head of State, retired General Abdulsalami Abubakar, visited him ahead of the commissioning of the state's judicial complex by Abubakar in Dutse.
His comments follow the words of the National Secretary, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who said his expulsion by the national leadership of PDP would not stand - even as the party claimed, yesterday, that it was not losing sleep over the defection of the five governors and leaders of the Alhaji Kawu Baraje-led new PDP.

Abubakar here in Dutse. Your statesmanship and commitment made democracy
a reality in 1999 by conducting a free and fair election," the Governor said, greeting Mr. Abubakar.
